Comfort Rarely Creates Change

We say we want to change but do we really?

The main impetus for change is pain and discomfort. When is the last time you said to yourself my life is great just the way it is so let me change. The more likely scenario is I am in pain, emotional or physical, so let me do something about that.

Physical discomfort leads us to the doctor or pushes us to make healthy lifestyle changes such as exercising or healthy eating.

Emotional discomfort leads us to seek help, to change jobs, change relationships or we change our way of looking at the world.

Discomfort propels us forward; comfort keeps us stagnant.

As we have more and more access to instant solutions, meals delivered to our door, Alexa answering questions, information from around the world, and working from our living room……. will we lose the opportunity to feel discomfort and change.
